He migrated to St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in 1804. He died in 1825 in Prairie Soileau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.

Elizabeth Davis Simmons. She was the widow of Charles Simmons. Solomon and Elizabeth had the following children:

         C-1   James Cole, Sr. was born about 1794 in Coles Creek, Natchez District, Spanish Mississippi. He migrated to St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in 1804. He was married to (1)Sally Simmons on March 26, 1814 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. He was married to (2)Sarah Miller House on December 7, 1849.(1)Sally Simmons. She was the daughter of James Simmons and Nancy Sullivan. James and Sally had the following children:

                   D-1   Melinda Cole was born about 1815 in Plaquemine Brulee, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. She was married to John Johnston on September 15, 1929. She died October 2, 1870.

                             John Johnston. She was the daughter of Moses Johnston and Nancy Robards.

                   D-2   David Miles Cole was born in 1817 in St. Landry Parish. He was married to (1)Sidney Louise Yokum on April 15, 1929. He fought in the Battle of San Jacinto in the Texas Revolution. He received a land grant, 1476 acres in Harrisburg Co., (now Harris Co.) Texas and 640 acres in Nacogdoches Co., (now Smith Co.) Texas. He was listed on the 1850 U.S. Federal Census in Harris Co., Texas. He was married to (2)Ann Dressier in July, 1858. He was living in Colorado Co., Texas in 1870. He died October 2, 1870 in Colorado Co., Texas.

(1)Sidney Louise Yokum. She was the daughter of Thomas D. Yokum and Pamela Peace. David and Louise had the following children:

                             E-1   Franklin David Cole was born March 28, 1839 in Harris Co., Republic of Texas. He died August 6, 1867.

                             E-2   Thomas Washington Cole was born April 1, 1841 in Harris Co., Republic of Texas. He was married to Adelaide Dunlavy on March 18, 1862. He died July 4, 1872.

Adelaide Dunlavy. She was the daughter of William Thomas Dunlavy and Delila . She died December 5, 1923 in Colorado Co., Texas. Thomas and Adelaide had the following children:

                                       F-1    Sidney Louise Cole was born in 1864. She was married to J. D. Earle.

                                       F-2    Lela T. Cole was born in 1867. She was married to Benton B. Duke on July 6, 1883. She died April 26, 1899 in Colorado Co., Texas.

Benton B. Duke. He was the son of Joseph M. Duke and Sarah Benton. Benton and Lela had the following children:

                                                 G-1   Mattie Kittie Duke was born June 1, 1884.

                                                 G-2   Libbie Mitchell Duke was born March 7, 1888. She was married to Charles LeGendre on July 8, 1908. She died March 11, 1950.

Charles LeGendre, Sr. He was the son of Charles Napoleon LeGendre and Marie Dupre. Charles and Libbie had the following children:

                                                          H-1   Janice Dorothy LeGendre was born March 30, 1908. She was married to (1)James Damper Smollen on June 18, 1927. She was married to (2)William D. Coff.
